  1. Photographer here, this is the remains of [Madame Sherri’s Castle](https://newengland.com/today/travel/new-hampshire/madame-sherris-castle-ruins/) just outside of Brattleboro Vermont. An interesting lady and beautiful part of the country. I stopped here yesterday on a fall foliage road trip, I’m @mattmacphersonphoto on instagram if any cares.

**edit** Apparently it’s in NH not VT, I guess I crossed the border sometime during the hike? Mud on my face.

  2. I camped here with some friends a few years ago just next to these stairs. Beautiful place.

If you get off exit 3 on i91 north in Vermont you can be here within 15 minutes.

  3. It’s sadly shocking to me that this isn’t covered in graffiti. Such awesome, historical “ruins” like this one are usually so appealing to me, yet I find that the majority of them are vandalized. Great pic either way.
